ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m a UK-based writer of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. You can see the full list of my publications here.

My personal background is like this: I grew up in North Carolina and attended Catholic school for a time that felt interminable. In 2008 I received my undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill with Honours in Creative Writing. Then followed many unsettled years; I moved to Boston, moved to Ireland, moved back to North Carolina, and now I live in Reading.

In 2019 I received my master’s in Creative Writing from the University of Oxford. Currently I'm working on a PhD - my project is about tarot card ekphrasis and you can read a little bit about it here. I'm also a co-organiser of Reading's Poets' Cafe.
